| Canadian celtic punk band The Real McKenzies arrive to Finland in January. The band is performing at Tampere Klubi on Thursday January 13th and at Tavastia, Helsinki the following evening. Domestic punk rock trio Heartbreak Stereo will be warming up the two shows. Tickets will be available on Thursday November 18th.
Founded in Vancouver Canada in 1994 The Real McKenzies are a combination of traditional punk and scottish folk music. The band is known for touring actively around North America and Europe and has toured with the likes of Rancid, Shane McGowan, NOFX, Flogging Molly and The Bay City Rollers. Their live album "Shine Not Burn" was released in Finland in August and has been recorded on an acoustic show in a pub in Germany. The album's name is a translation of ”Luceo Non Uro", considered to be a McKenzie clan motto.
Heartbreak stereo is known as a tight live performer and will be touring with The McKenzies for the second time. The band released their second album ”Carried Through This Waltz” in February and are currently recording new material for their next album to be released in early 2011.
