| Swedish group The Ark celebrates their 20th anniversary by releasing a collection and heading to their last tour. The band will start their farewell tour from Finland and will perform at Tavastia on Thursday March 3 and also the following night Friday March 4. Tickets will be available on Friday December 10.
The Ark states that they will break up the band after their tour in spring and summer. The band feels that they have accomplished what they wanted artistically with the Ark and it is time to move on. The Ark has been a huge part of the band members life and the band states it will always mean a lot. For this reason the band has decided to arrange the farewell tour on their 20th anniversary. The collection is a summary of their career and biggest hits. The tour is also a gift to the fans. The Ark will return to the same stages they have performed throughout the years and they want to offer an intimate and unique series of club concerts. They want to show their gratitude to those who have made the Ark the phenomenom it is today. The tour is going to be a true hit parade.
The Ark's new single "Breaking Up With God" will be released in January and the collection ”Arkeology” in February. The album includes 20 songs, which two of them are new. The new songs ”Breaking Up With God” and ”The Apocalypse Is Over” have been written and recorded in November with producer Peter Kvint who has been working with the band since the album ”In Lust We Trust”.
