| One of the most popular rock bands in 2000´s American Linkin Park arrive to Finland for their first headline show in Summer. Named after their latest album ”A Thousand Suns World Tour” arrive to Kaisaniemi park, Helsinki on Thursday June 16 for an outdoor concert. Tickets will be available on Wednesday February 16.
For the past ten years Linkin Park have been one of the biggest nu-metal groups and sold worldwide over 50 million albums with their albums "Hybrid Theory", "Meteora", "Minutes To Midnight" and "A Thousans Suns". In Finland alone Linkin Park have sold almost 160 000 copies. The remix album ”Collision Course” was made together with Jay-Z and took first place on USA Billboard chart, selling 5 million copies. Linkin Park have won two Grammys in Best Hard Rock category in 2001 and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration series in 2006. Addition to this the band has been nominated four times. Linkin Park have also won Best Rock Video and Viewer's Choise Award prizes from MTV Video Awards.
Founded in Agoura Hils, California in 1996 Linkin Park have taken of to numerous worldtours, performed to tens of thousands fans and earned themselves the reputation as one of the best live performers in the world. In Finland the band has been seen at Provinssirock Festival in 2008 and Sonisphere Festival in 2009.
Linkin Park's latest album ”A Thousand Suns” was released in Autumn and sold gold immediatly in Finland becoming the most downloaded album in iTunes. Singles "The Catalyst", "Waiting For The End” and ”Burning In The Skies” have been major hits also in Finland and been heard in radios worldwide.
