The Jamaican Popcaan is coming for a gig at Venue on Thursday, November the 8th. Popcaan made his breakthrough in summer 2011 with his hit track “Ravin”. The song ended up all over where only dancehall was playing and it became one of the most popular songs of 2011. The track was followed by a full line of hits like "Only Man She Want", "Party Shot", "Summer Wave" and ”Clean” that have one after other shot themselves on the top of Jamaican charts.
Popcaan’s music style has been described as fresh wind in dancehall scene and he is especially popular among young listeners. The artist with a clear voice and wide spectrum of themes, including traditional reality and gangsta songs but his trademarks are especially party songs.
The Finnish Komposti, Pouta, Forward Squad ja Lion Head are responsible for the night’s DJ music.
