Organised on July 2 at Kalasatama, Helsinki, Sonisphere festival's line-up is now ready. British bands Sylosis and Revoker have been added to the line-up, aswell domestic metal bands Poisonblack, Norther and Battle Beast. Earlier confirmed acts are Slipknot, In Flames, Rob Zombie, Mastodon, Opeth, Sonata Arctica and Stam1na.
Performing at Bohemia stage Sylosis are one of the most important metal bands in UK. Having released their debut album "Conclusion of an Age" and sophomore album ”Edge of the Earth”, Sylosis have toured with the likes of Dragonforce, As I Lay Dying and Fear Factory. The Welsh band Revoker have just released their debut album ”Revenge for the Ruthless”. Combining traditional heavy metal with modern thrash, Revoker will also rise on the Bohemia stage.
Poisonblack have just released their fifth album "Driven" and head out for a long tour. Their praised live show will be seen at the Saturnus stage at Sonisphere. Norther have claimed their place as one of the most respected domestic metal bands. The band have released six albums and toured for over 10 years and their newest album ”Circle Regenerated” will be released on four continents. Battle Beast have quickly become one the most interesting newcomers in metal. The band have won Wacken Open Air Metal Battle and Radio Rock's Starba competition and performed at Finnish Metal Expo in February and gained fame with their debut album "Steel".
One of Sonisphere festival's key elements, the Bohemia area is located this year inside the festival area. The area is full of activities and includes ofcourse the Bohemia stage. At the area you can for example bungee jump and participate in different kind of competitions. The area offers also tattoo artist Juho Juntunen and fire acrobats, rodeo and many other things.
