| The third Psychotropic Caravan Festival will be organized on Saturday February 5 in Helsinki at Nosturi. American Om, French Aqua Nebula Oscillator, English Gunslinger and Belgian DJ Shazzula will then conquer the stage with domestic bands Steel Mammoth, E-Musikgruppe Lux Ohr, Zodiac Sunrise and Heavy Smoke. Tickets will be available on Thursday December 23.
Having recorded for Southern Lord and Sub Pop, Om plays doom and drone -drawn music and performs in Europe for the first time as a trio. For Gunslinger the gig is their first visit to Scandinavia. After breaking up the Motörhead-spirited rough gun metal band in 1984 Gunslinger now continue their career started in 1979. The dark psychodelica band Aqua Nebula Oscillator from Paris has also a long history. Formed over 10 years ago, the orchestra is inspired by 60s psychedelia, occultism, noisy fuzz and space rock.
DJ Shazzula will entrance the audience through her dark psychedelic rock records. In addition to Shazzula, records will be also played by Club Mega Therion and Psychotropic Caravan DJs. Evening’s domestic bands Steel Mammoth, E-Musikgruppe Lux Ohr, Zodiac Sunrise and Heavy Smoke are all renowned and diverse groups mixing influences from ambient and heavy metal.
