| Industrial music legend Laibach celebrate their 30th Anniversary by touring around Europe in Spring. The Slovenian band perform also in Helsinki at Nosturi on Wednesday March 9. Tickets will be available on Thursday January 27.
To celebrate their 30 years Laibach released a limited edition of "Laibach Revisited" double album, that contains a re-mastered version of album classic "Laibach" released in 1985 and also re-arrenged and recorded versions of songs recorded in 1980-1986. On their upcoming tour the band will be performing their "Laibach Revisited" material, so the fans arriving to Nosturi will have a chance of hearing new arrangements of older material live.
Laibach was founded in 1980 at Trbovlje in Slovenia, at the time still part of Jugoslavia. The band was originally put together as an art collectiv producing print art and paintings and combining it to music, video collage and performance art. Laibach soon rose to fame by making popular music hits to their own magnificant electronic music versions. Their cult status the band has gained by combining political activism and art philosphy to their music. The band has consciously build themself the image of playing with militarism and mystery. Bands such as Rammstein have named Laibach as one of their biggest influences.
