| Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit will return to Finland in the end of March to support the release of their debut album ”The Big Black & The Blue” due on January 27th. The forthcoming gig will again take place at Tavastia on March 25th.
First Aid Kit, aka Klara and Johanna Söderberg, broke through internationally with their ”Drunken Trees” minicd last year. The duo’s music is a combination of atmospheric folk and acoustic indie pop but on gigs, they also cover songs from 60’s folk artists and today’s most significant indie bands, like Fleet Foxes. Formed by two young siblings, the band can easily be referred to as one of Sweden’s hottest newcomers and Finns have seem to fallen in love with the duo as well thanks to their charming performances at Ruisrock and Tavastia last year.
Before the Finnish show, First Aid Kit will play an extensive tour in Great Britain and also some selected shows in the Nordic countries. At Tavastia, the stage will be warmed up by singer-songwriter Matti Johannes Koivu.
