| Having just returned from their European tour K-X-P arrive to Tavastia, Helsinki on upcoming Friday February 11. Front men Timo Kaukolampi and Tuomo Puranen took their band to Eurosonic Festivals in Holland in January where K-X-P continued their European tour in UK, Germany and France, getting great reviews. The band is in great shape and performs for the first time in Finland on Friday. The band has two drummers who normally take turns, but on Friday drummers Anssi Nykänen and Tomi Leppänen will be seen on stage together for the first time. The evening is opened by Ketil Mosner with his solo project Baertur. Known from Norwegian band Datarock, Baertur's song "Human Sponge" has been resently remixed by K-X-P.
K-X-P's music is a hypnotic mixture of electro, krautrock and noise with a touch of rockabilly. The original sound world comes from band members' long musical history; their backround is full of impressive alternative gorups such as Op:l Bastards, Larry and the Lefthanded, Aavikko, Circle and Jimi Tenor's and ja Pekka Pohjola's bands.
K-X-P's debut album "K-X-P" was released last July by a Norwegian record company Smalltown Supersound and the vinyl will be also available at Tavastia at the upcoming show.
