Organised on August 12-13 at Club Teatria in Oulu, Jalometalli Festival have announced four new attachments to the program. British doom/stoner band Cathedral arrive at Oulu for their last show in Finland. Also Swedish Entombed, British Evile and domestic special guest A.R.G. rise on stage. Celebrating their 10th Anniversary Jalometalli Festival has earlier announced Brasilian Sepultura, German Sodom, Amerixan Exhumed and Swedish Grand Magnus and Nifelheim. More announcement to the line-up will be made later.
Cathedral build up their career as one of the pioneers of doom metal, but later added elements of groovy stoner rock to their music. The band has announced ending their 21-year old career and releasing their last album next year. The band will however start their farewells this year as their show at Jalometalli Festival will be the band's last performance in Finland. Jalometalli Festival has offered the group their headlining spot on Saturday night August 13.
Swedish death'n'roll pioneer Entombed are known as an impressive live band. The band's history started in the 80's and their first three albums "Left Hand Path", "Clandestine" and "Wolverine Blues" are classics in Nordic metal scene. British thrash band Evile are one of the biggest bands in European thrash scene today. The band is releasing their third album this year. Having performed at Jalometalli Winterfest, domestic A.R.G. were one of the most significant groups of Finnish thrash metal's rise in the 80's and 90's. The line-up consists of singer-bassist Tepa Karjalainen, guitarists Vesa Säkkinen and Jari Kelloniemi and drummer Timo Hanhijoki.
