Australian indie/electro-pop band Architeture in Helsinki arrive for their first club show in Helsinki. Previously seen in Finland at Flow festivals in 2007 the band will perform at Tavastia, Helsinki on Sunday July 3.
Founded in Melbourne in 2000, Architecture in Helsinki broke through with their sophomore album ”In Case We Die" in 2005. The album gained great reviews in music media from Pitchfork to Popmatters and took the band on tour with the likes of Death Cab for Cutie and Yo La Tengo. In addition to this the album was awarded with music industry award ARIA for the best indie album.
Combining Pheonix -like danceable indie rock, Belle & Sebastian like tweepop, Chromeo like electro funk and Montreal like pop the band released their fourth studio album "Moment Bends" in April. Their production has been remixed by many artists such as Hot Chip and Scissor Sisters.
