The American indie band Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, known for their psychedelic lo-fi music, is coming for an awaited gig to Finland. The concert takes place at Tavastia on Thursday, November 22th. Ticket sale begins on Friday, July 13th.
Ariel Pink has been releasing music since the 90’s but has earlier been associated with freak folk movement that avoids mainstream. The latest album “Before Today” (2010) was much more approachable than its predecessors and became the artist’s breakthrough record. The album’s hit “Round and Round” was chosen the best song 2010 by Pitchfork web magazine and the Finnish music magazine Rumba chose the track second in their critics’ vote. Ariel Pink’s new album, following same themes as the previous one, “Mature Themes” is to be released on the 20th of August.
