The indie rock band Raveonettes, known for its garage and shoegaze rock played in the spirit of The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Velvet Underground, is finally arriving for its first club concert in Finland. This year the duo celebrates their ten year anniversary by touring Europe and the tour brings the band to Tavastia on Thursday, March the 7th. The ticket sale begins on Wednesday, November the 7th.
The Raveonettes rose into world fame pretty soon after it was formed in the early 00’s. With their first release the duo, formed by Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo, became known for their dogma style: the tracks were allowed to continue only for three minutes, they had to be written in a specific key and the cymbals were not allowed. Later The Raveonettes gave up their limits and has widened their sound world for instance into more electronic direction. In September came out the sixth album “Observator” by ViceRecords (Black Lips, Chromeo, Justice) and it has been gathering unconditional praising just like its predecessors. The full-length album, recorded in LA, draws inspiration from Californian music traditions.
