The Darkness to Finland in February
The British band The Darkness is coming to celebrate rock’n’roll at two club concerts in Finland. The band which is known as entertaining and, at the same time, very convincing live-performer, will be seen in Tampere at Pakkahuone on Tuesday, February the 19th and the next night in Helsinki at The Circus. Ticket sale for the concerts begins on Friday, November the 9th.
The Darkness loans shamelessly from glam rock traditions and combines hard rock with catchy sing-a-long chorus verses. The high falsetto of the lead figure Justin Hawkins is best remembered from the hits ”I Believe in A Thing Called Love”, ”Growing On Me” and ”One Way Ticket”.
The Darkness released their newest album “Hot Cakes” this summer and it was created together with the producer legend Bob Ezrin who is for instance behind many KISS and Alice Cooper records. The new album is a first release after eight years. The band has made a spectacular return and played sold-out gigs in Great Britain and the USA. The previous time The Darkness was seen in Finland was this summer at two concerts ata full Hartwall Arena as the support artist of Lady Gaga who had chosen the artist herself.
