Organised on July 22-23 at Hämeenlinna, Wanaja Festival has released their headlining act for Saturday. British The Darkness will rise on stage at Linnapuisto Stage on Saturday. The daily tickets are now also available.
The band released their surprising comeback news in March. The band return on stage after five years break and have announced to perform at Europe's significant festivals, such as Sonisphere in Spain, Download Festival, Novarock Festival and now also Wanaja Festival.
The Darkness has previously performed at Finland in 2006. Having sold millions of albums, the band have released megahits such as "I Believe In A Thing Called Love", "Growing On Me", "Love Is only A Feeling" and "One Way Ticket". During their break the band have been working on new material.
In addition to The Darkness Wanaja Festival has also released names such as Manic Street Preachers, Therapy?, Kotiteollisuus, Apulanta, Happoradio, Kaija Koo, Turmion Kätilöt, Petri Nygård, Paleface, Klamydia, Samuli Putro, Uusi Fantasia, The Blanko and many others.
