The British favourite Pulp has been confirmed as Friday’s main performer at Ruisrock Festival, held between the 6th and 8th of July at Ruissalo in Turku. The domestic artist setting will be supplemented with Pariisin Kevät, Apocalyptica and Elokuu, a new band
formed by Nopsajalka, Juno and Jonas W. Karlsson. With the fresh additions the daily program of the festivals has been announced and all
ticket types are now in sale.
Pulp was formed in 1978 under the
lead of the charismatic Jarvis Cocker and gained popularity of the big
audience at latest by the year 1995 with their album “Different Class”.
Mercury Music Prize awarded album is known among others from their
classic tracks ”Common People” and ”Disco 2000”. On the wave of their
success album the band visited Ruisrock also in 1996.
Before
their drawback in 2002, Pulp managed to release altogether seven albums
that have sold millions of pieces worldwide. The band began their
comeback tour with the original line-up last year. The concerts have
delighted their fans from all eras of Pulp’s career and have gotten
animated reception everywhere.
