Rock The Beach festival brings on stage Green Day, Rammstein, Thirty Seconds To Mars and many others

Next summer Helsinki gets a new rock festival, Rock The Beach, that will be organized on the Hietaniemi beach on Wednesday, the26th of June and between Friday, the 28th and Saturday the 29th of June. The festival presents a whole variety of rock music on the three stages in the summer beach atmosphere. The first confirmed artists are the punk rock giant Green Day, Thirty Seconds To Mars which is preparing their new record, the German titan Rammstein, the tight rock group Queens Of The Stone Age and Stone Sour, one of the leading names in alternative rock.

Rock The Beach aims to become one of the biggest international summer festivals in Helsinki. The goal is to offer the festival audience the best in rock, punk and electronic music and plentiful festival activities. The main stage, Radio Rock Stage as well as the second stage are both located on the shore, just beside the sea and the third stage is surrounded by green pine trees.

One of the world’s most successful rock bands, Green Day, has announced that it’s releasing three full-length albums in a row. ”¡Uno!” and ”¡Dos!” have already come out and the third album of the series, ”¡Tré!”, is coming out in December. Thirty Seconds To Mars has on their part been hinting since last spring about the new album that will be released in spring 2013.

Rammstein, known for their showy live stage spectacles, has been rolling their grandiose heavy metal music to the Finnish audience already for many times and always with a huge success. The band is releasing its whole career covering compilation album ”Made In Germany 1995 – 2011” in December. Queens Of The Stone Age enjoys great respect among the listeners of many different rock genres and is one of the most awaited visitors to Finland as it been long since the band’s tour last stopped in Finland. Stone Sour, formed by Corey Taylor, the lead figure of Slipknot, has just released their newest album ”House of Gold & Bones Part 1” that is the first part of two-part production.  The new album got full five stars in the Finnish music magazine Soundi’s review.

A long list of other performers for Rock The Beach will be announced during fall and spring.
