Kent and Regina Spektor are stars at Garden Party concerts

The diversified event setting in Helsinki will get a new interesting and ambitious addition when the Garden Party concert series starts at the end of June. The concerts will take place at the field near Hietaniemi beach, covered with a theatre-like concert stage with intimate and warm atmosphere for the bright mid-summer concerts. In addition to the released concert dates June 27th and 29th there will be more program announced soon.

On Wednesday, June 27th the stage will be taken over by the biggest Scandinavian rock band, the Swedish Kent, which has just recently released their new album Jag är inte rädd för mörkret. The gloomy guitar rock playing Kent has always been a popular visitor in Finland, and it has already passed a couple of years since their last visit. Also confirmed performers for Wednesday are with their new albumto the top places in Finnish charts leaped Pariisin kevät and one of Sweden’s current hot artists Laleh.

On Friday, June 29th Hietaniemi will see the Russian-American singer-songwriter Regina Spektor. She will be releasing her new album ”What We Saw From The Cheap Seats” at the end of May and album’s first single ”Don’t Leave Me (Ne Me Quitte Pas)” is already out now. Spektor is known as one of her generation's most talented music writers whose concert tickets are hotly competed for around the world. The night will also bring on stage one of Finland’s most promising indie newcomers French Films and the Swedish Little Dragon, a band currently on a high rise around the world. More artists for Friday will be announced later.
