KYUSSISTA SOOLOURALLE
High school -aikoinaan John Garcia perusti kitaristi Josh Hommen kanssa Kyussin. Vuosina 1991-1995 Kyuss teki viisi täysimittaista albumia, joista erityisesti "Welcome To Sky Valley" teki lähtemättömän vaikutuksen desert rock -skenessä.

Lokakuussa 1995 Kyuss julkaisi viimeisen täysimittaisen studio-albuminsa: "...And the Circus Leaves Town". Tämän jälkeen Garcia on esiintynyt useissa eri kokoonpanoissa, kuten Hermano, Slo Burn, Unida & Vista Chino, ja julkaissut soolona kaksi täyspitkää albumia.

Lämppärinä John Garcian Suomen keikalla nähdään kanadalainen stoner rock -jyrä Dead Quiet.
