Organised on 12-13 August at Visulahti, Mikkeli, Jurassic Rock celebrates their 5th Anniversary. The festival has now announced their first performers. Irish punk band Flogging Molly release their fifth studio album "Speed of Darkness" in May and arrive at Mikkeli in August. The band are known for extremely energetic live shows and they bring elements and instruments of Irish traditional music to their performances. Swedish melodic death metal is presented by Soilwork, one of the biggest stars in Göteborg metal. The band released their newest album "The Panic Broadcast" last year. One of the most interesting rap artist at the time, American Wiz Khalifa arrives also at Mikkeli. His song "Black and Yellow" has became a huge hit worldwide with over 55 million viewers at Youtube. His new album "Rolling Papers" will was released on March 30. The two day tickets are available.
Domestic line-up offers top names of Finnish bands and musicians as seventime Emma -awarded singer Jenni Vartianen, pop-rock group Apulanta, having just released their new album Kotiteollisuus, massively popular rap artist Petri Nygård and metal band Stam1na, who have performed at every Jurassic Rock, arrive at Visulahti in August. The festival stages will be taken over by Pariisin Kevät, rap artist Paleface with his live band, releasing their new album in May pop group Stella, reggae group Raappana & Sound Explosion Band, rockabilly band Francine, hip hop artist Cheek, wild rock group The Blanko, super group The Mama King, punk group Anal Thunder, metal band Medeia and metal-punk group FM2000. Also Juno & Kemmuru will perform together and on Saturday the festival will start with Supasoul-disco. More announcement to the line-up will be made later.
