A new event, Weekend Festival, organized in Espoo, at Luukki recreation area between the 17th and 18th of August, is bringing additional colour to Finnish summer festival stream. The festival’s artist set includes current international and local top names without genre borders.
Friday’s main performers are the French dance music superstar David Guetta and the leading dub step name Skrillex. Also rising on stage on Friday will be the American rap ensemble Odd Future Wolfgang Kill Them All and the Finnish rapper Cheek.
Saturday’s program is brings forth stars in electro pop: the British electro-pop duo Hurts, Scandinavian success Donkeyboy as well as Carpark North from Denmark will be taking over the stage. Local enhancements for Saturday a the rock bands Poets Of The Fall and Haloo Helsinki! as well as the rap artist Redrama.
