Releasing their new album "Cat Fit Fury!" in end of March The Van Jets make their first visit to Finland. The Van Jets have gained fame in their home country Belgium and perform at On The Rocks, Helsinki on Tuesday Apri 12. The band is also very popular in Central Europe and was nominated for Best Dutch & Belgian Act -series at MTV Europe Music Awards.
The Van Jets carry partly Finnish heredity. The band's bassist Frederik Tampere's family tell a story of a traveling salesman from Finland arriving to the small village of Bruges at Belgium who meets a beautifull local woman and falls in love. The traveller never returned to Finland. Frederik Tampere and The Van Jets however arrive to Helsinki as part of their Nordic Countries tour.
Their sophomore album "Cat Fit Fury!" has been produced by British Jon Gray (The Subways, Editors and The Kooks) and mixed by Greg Gordon who is known for his work with the likes of Wolfmother. The album will be released in end of March. The band's composer and charismatic singer-guitarist Johannes Verschaeve has greated a great melodic rock mixture.
