The American Animal Collective is coming to Finland to perform at The Circus club in Helsinki on Tuesday, July the 2nd. Ticket sale for the concert begins on Wednesday, January the 16th.
Animal Collective, formed in 1999, is known for music that breaks boundaries. The band combines alternative indie rock with psychedelic pop, experimental electronica and hypnotic freak folk. The foursome gained enormous attention with their breakthrough records ”Strawberry Jam” (2007) and ”Merriweather Post Pavilion” (2009), out of which the latest is one of the most influential alternative music albums of the 00’s. The band released their newest full-length ”Centipede Hz” in September. The record rose 16th of the American Billboard despite its challenging style and, once again, the album became both critical and commercial success.
