The American soul and R&B artist Cody ChesnuTT is coming to Finland this winter. The multitalented artist performs together with his background band on the stage of Tavastia on Saturday night, February the 23rd. The concert tickets will become available on Friday, November the 30th.
Cody ChesnuTT rose to world fame in 2002 with his home studio album ”The Headphone Masterpiece”. A bigger breakthrough came later same year when the version of the track “The Seed (2.0.)”, recorded together with The Roots, became one of the year’s most popular songs.
Soon after his surprise success, Cody ChesnuTT disappeared from publicity. The artist continued writing songs and performing live but the next official full-length album didn’t come out until this fall. The critical success album “Landing on a Hundred” has created expectancy for ChesnuTT to return in the front row of modern soul singers.
Earlier Cody ChesnuTT has visited Finland in December 2010 when the artist performed at Club YK and at next year’s Ilosaarirock festival. The club concert was praised at Helsingin Sanomat: “It was the gig of the year, of any year. Cody ChesnuTT is simply that good”.
