Russian modern music can be divided in two eras – time before and time after Mumiy Troll. Mumiy Troll has altogether released eight albums but the band conquered Russia already with their debut album “Morskaya” in 1997 and started a completely new trend in Russia. The head of the band, Ilja Lagutenko is truly talented and his unstoppable ambition to create something unheard-of has made him a source of inspiration for many modern culture phenomena in Russia. Lagutenko has managed to maintain Mumiy Troll as one of the most colourful sensations in Russian music and society influencing even the style in clothes.
