More artists, art and design to Flow
Flow festival, held in the former power plant area of Suvilahti in Helsinki between the 8th and 12th of August, has yet again increased its artist palette. Added are the Swedish Lykke Li, the hiplife star Bola from Ghana, BaBa Zula, Kolektif Istanbul and DJ Murat Meric, who are bringin Turkish sounds to Suvilahti, Theo Parrish representing techno scene from Detroit, cosmic disco musician Daniele Baldelli from Italy, the Finnish reggae ensemble Bongo Rock also featuring the Jamaican star Cornell Campbell. Likewise included are Arch of Neo, Roberto Rodriguez, Mika Snickars and The DJs of the Backyard. The familiar We Love Helsinki collective
will also once again put the folk to dance on Flow's Sunday night; this
year their program also includes some stand up and children’s music.
Flow
will this year have even more variety in different forms of art
represented in the festival area: there will be architecture, design,
visual arts and discussion events to experience during the weekend.
Flow has likewise announced the first restaurants and food suppliers
that will be making sure that the urban festival makes an art form out
of dining as well.
Still more artists will be added to the program during the summer. See current daily program here.
