Jamaican dancehall artist Mavado to Finland for the first time

| Jamaican dancehall artist Mavado will arrive in Finland for the first time on Monday February 14. The gig held in Helsinki at Tavastia will be full of authentic dancehall energy and present the best Jamaican contemporary music. Warming up the stage, Finland's finest party sound systems Komposti, Pouta Sound and Forward Squad will take care of the musical selections of the night.

Mavado, born David Brooks, has already for several years been the most important modern Jamaican dancehall artist with strings of #1 hits both in Jamaica and abroad. His rise to fame started in 2004 on Daseca's Anger Management riddim with his hit "Real McKoy". Part of Bounty Killer's Alliance camp, he quickly became one of the most hyped young artists in Jamaica with his raspy yet clear singjay voice that delivered, song after song, rough-edged stories of ghetto reality with catchy hooks.
