Hip Hop star Nas to Helsinki in March

| American rap artist Nas arrive to Helsinki at The Circus club on Tuesday March 22. Tickets will be available on Monday December 13.

Coming from New York rap artist Nas, real name Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones, released his debut album "Illmatic" in 1994. The album is considered to be one of the best hip hop albums, but regardless to it's huge success the album sold platinum in United States just in 2001. The following albums were also successful which brought accusations of the artist turning commercial. Nas has released altogether 9 solo albums and his album "Hip Hop Is Dead" was released 2006 causing a fuss in music industry. Nas stated that the album's name reflected hip hop's situation at that time.

Six of the artist's albums have sold platinum in the United States, which is over one milloin albums. Having released the album "Distant Relatives" with reggae star Damien Marley Nas is planning to release his next solo album before summer 2011.
