The traditional Midsummer Day's metal festival, Nummirock, held at Nummijärvi in Kauhajoki between the 20th and 22nd of June, opens the game with hard stakes. The festival brings on stage the Swedish Viking metal band Amon Amarth and the Finnish fast and talented Children of Bodom. The festival presents also the melodic metal bands Wintersun, Insomnium, Ensiferum and Mors Principium Est as well as the bands Ghost Brigade, Pain Confessor, Sons of Aeon and Nicole. For a proper Midsummer Day's celebration Nummirock puts forth also the humppa band Eläkeläiset.
