| One of Sweden's most interesting indie pop newcomers Those Dancing Days arrive to Finland in Spring. Releasing their sophmore album ”Daydreams & Nightmares” the soul influenced indie pop band perform at Le Bonk, Helsinki on Thursday March 31. The stage will be warmed up by domestic newcomer Jessica Wolff.
Founded in 2005 Those Dancing Days is formed by vocalist Linnea Jönsson, keyboard player Lisa Pyk, guitarist Rebecka Rolfart, bassist Mimmi Evrell and drummer Cissi Efraimsson. The band broke through few years ago with their EP ”Those Dancing Days”. The song "Hitten" got loads of radioplay and appeared also on MTV. The band was nominated for the best newcomer at Swedish radio station p3, "Hitten" music video was nominated at Grammis awards and the band as "Best Swedish Act" at MTV Europe Music Awards. The praised EP was also released through Wichita record label (Bloc Party, Conor Oberst).
Those Dancing Days' debut album "In Our Space Hero Suits” was released in Autumn 2008 followed by an international tour and more nominations. The shows took the band to South America, China, Russia and Japan, to mention a few. Their adorable retro style and confident precense on stage charmed audiences all over the world. The bands vocalist Linnea Jönssön can also be heard on the new single from Stuart Murdoch's (Belle & Sebastian) latest project God Help The Girl called "Baby You're blind".
Those Dancing Days is warmed up by Jessica Wolff who is working on her debut album. First singe ”You Should Get Over Me” is now done and the band is ready to climb on stage.
