Swedish musician Kleerup brings his new band Me And My Army for their first visit to Finland in spring. The six-member rock band play smooth melodic pop-rock and perform at Club Yk, Helsinki on Friday May 6. The evening is warmed up by I Was A Teenage Satan Worshipper.
Kleerup has worked with the likes of Titiyo, Lykke Li, Neneh Cherry and Robyn (With Every Heartbeat single). Me And My Army was founded almost accidentally as Andreas Kleerup, Niels Nankler, Patrik Hersström, John London Rönneklev, Joel Igor Hammad Magnusson and Helena Arlock started spending more time together making music. As a result the band produced pop-rock that combines sounds from 70's, 80's and 90's and combines atmospheres from the music of Neil Young, Midlake and Tom Petty. Me And My Army's debut album ”Thank God For Sending Demons” will be released in Finland on March 30.
Touring actively in Finland and aroun Europe I Was A Teenage Satan Worshipper are working on their new album, so the show in May might offer new material from the group.
