| One of Sweden's hottest artists Salem Al Fakir was supposed to perform at Bloggpriset 2010 Awards at Kulttuuritehdas Korjaamo, Helsinki in beginning of December. Fakir had to cancel his show because due to a flight strike he was not able to arrive to Finland. The awaited show will now be held on Wednesday February 2.
Salem Al Fakir started his musical career playing violin when he was just four years old. As a teenager he was considered to be a genius with violin and performed in concerts also abroad. The singer-songwriter released his first solo album "This Is Who I Am" as a pop artist in 2007. The album sold platinum and Fakir won four Grammys the following year. Salem Al Fakir released his sophmore album "Astronaut" in March 2009.
Salem Al Fakir's third album was released this year and it has sold gold in Sweden. The album brought the artist sold out tours and song "Keep on Walking" became last summer's radiohit in Sweden. Fakir combines pop to jazz and rock in his music and also some echoes of swedish traditional music and progessive music can be heard. Known for his impressive live shows Fakir has become one of Sweden's most followed young stars.
