| British Peter Hook and his band The Light have been touring worldwide and playing songs from Joy Division's classic album "Unknown Pleasures". Known as the basist from Joy Division Hook arrives to Finland in March. Peter Hook plays Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures will be seen at Nosturi in Helsinki on Friday March 25.
Joy Division's singer/songwriter Ian Curtis passed away 30 years ago. To honor this Peter Hook decided last year to head for a tour to play Joy Division's debut album "Unknown Pleasures" (1979) with his band The Light. The group also plays other songs such as "Love Will Tear Us Apart". The shows have caused some controversy among Joy Division fans but been a huge success and an emotional experience as the audience sings along the album's classic songs ”She’s Lost Control” and ”Shadowplay”.
Peter Hook is also known from his band New Order, founded after Joy Division split up. New Order is considered to be one of the most important elektro and dance groups from the 80's. Hook has also played in such bands as Revenge and Monaco.
