| Canadian progressive music legend, RUSH, will bring their Time Machine Tour to Finland next year. Tickets to the concert at Hartwall Arena on May 4th will be available on November 30th.
Founded in Toronto in 1968, RUSH was catapulted into publicity with their sophomore album "2112" (1976). Four decades later, the band are still massively popular all around the globe and they keep on influencing several other groups. RUSH have sold well over 40 million albums and only The Beatles and The Rolling Stones have been awarded with more consecutive gold and platinum albums.
RUSH's line-up has been the same all the way from 1974 when they released their debut album: vocalist-bassist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer Neil Peart. All three are extremely talented, awarded musicians. RUSH as a band have also been awarded multiple times: they have, for example, won seven Juno awards. Currently, RUSH are working on their next studio album "Clockwork Angels" due in 2011. Earlier this year, a documentary of the band called "Beyond The Lighted Stage" was released. Directed by Scot McFadye and Sam Dunn, it has been both critically acclaimed and very warmly received by fans.
RUSH have visited Finland only once before in 2007 when they performed at sold out Hartwall Arena. On their ongoing Time Machine Tour, the band play their 1981 masterpiece "Moving Pictures" in its entirety.
