| One of the most interesting and exciting indie rock bands, Arcade Fire, arrive for the first time to Finland in June 2010. The band will perform at Senaatintori, Helsinki on Monday June 28th. The stage will be headed towards Tuomiokirkko (Helsinki cathedral) so that the audience has the possibility also to experience the show from the cathedral stairs. The new date of the ticket sales will be announced on Wednesday 26th May.
Formed in 2003 in Montreal, Arcade Fire is known for their dramatic music and intensive life performances. Their debut album ”Funeral” (2004) brought the group to fame and was praised by critics worldwide. The album won numerous awards, was nominated for a Grammy and was chosen as one of the best albums of decade by Radio Helsinki. Their next album "Neon Bible" (2007) was also a huge success and won the Juno award for "Alternative Album Of The Year".
Arcade Fire has just finished their third album that will be released in summer 2010. The band is especially known from such hits as ”Wake Up”, ”Black Mirror”, ”Keep The Car Running”, “Rebellion (Lies)” and ”No Cars Go”. 1 euro from each ticket will be donated for "Partners in Healt" charity organisation.
