Yöväen Musiikkijuhlat is an underground festival celebrating music of all types, unrestricted by genre. The festival takes place annually in August, in Iittala, Finland. Renowned for its unique atmosphere and stunning surroundings, the festival is held at Kutilan Juhlatalo near Hämeenlinna.
Yöväen Musiikkijuhlat has announced the first artist to be confirmed for the 2024 edition of the festival. Post-black metal band Kauan will headline the festival with Italian multi-instrumentalist Lili Refrain. They are accompanied by a Finnish ritual/dark ambient duo Arktau Eos, alternative country/folk noir act T.Jarva and the Dark Place and post-punk outfit Dragsvik.
We are also thrilled to announce that Murheenlaakso will make a rare appearance on Saturday evening, bringing their unique and crushing melancholic sound to Iittala after dusk. Joining them will be the French experimental black metal band Sordide and Helsinki-based Gasthaus Orkesteri, who share a passion for the works of director David Lynch and composer Angelo Badalamenti.
Tams leans heavily on the legacy of 1980s synthpop, capturing the nostalgic essence of that era while drifting seamlessly into the Finnish state of mind, following in the footsteps of iconic bands like Leevi And The Leavings.
Meanwhile, +TUNNIT+ will grace the stage with their signature nordic melancholy, delivering a deeply atmospheric experience. This performance is exceptional as it marks their first-ever live show. The unique blend of their haunting melodies and lyrics is set to create an unforgettable atmosphere for Saturday evening.
