Organised on July 8.-10. Ruisrock has announced their first bands. Ruissalo will be taken over by one of the most successful electronic dance groups British The Prodigy. The band is known for crossing genres with their unique style and amazing live shows. The audience will be pampered also with two American indie stars as one of the worlds biggest alternative rock bands The National and the unique folk-pop group on their first visit to Finland Fleet Foxes perform at Ruissalo.
Other foreign attachements to the festival are very popular also in Finland, British metalcore acts Bullet For My Vallentine and Bring Me The Horizon, British synthpop band Hurts, American alternative rock classic Primus, the lovely folk and blues duo Mark Lanegan & Isobel Campbell, the praised British newcomer singer-songwriter Anna Calvi, Danish rock-electro group Carpark North, American psychobilly pioneer Nekromantix and Swedish power metal king Sabaton.
The festivals domestic line-up offers the brightest stars such as pop and rock groups Apulanta, PMMP, Jenni Vartiainen, Pariisin Kevät, Von Hertzen Brothers, Scandinavian Music Group and Happoradio, metal bands Amorphis and Kotiteollisuus and rythm and reggae ensembles Paleface, Uusi Fantasia, Jätkäjätkät and Jukka Poika and Raappana, both accompanied by Sound Explosion Band. More announcements to domestic and foreign bands will be made later. One day and two day tickets will come on sale when the daily programme will be announced.
