One of the most popular Seattle grunge bands Mudhoney arrive to Finland in July. The band perform at Klubi, Turku on Tuesday July 12 and Tavastia, Helsinki on Wednesday July 13. Tickets will be available on tomorrow Wednesday March 23.
Mudhoney were founded in 1988 and have gained their fame as a cult band with their recognizable combination of bluesrock, punk and garage. Mudhoney has been an inspiration to many grunge and alternative rock musicians and bands, for example Curt Cobain and his group Nirvana. The band's singe "Touch Me I’m Sick" became almost like a theme song for grunge generation. Their releases "Superfuzz Bigmuff" (1988), "Mudhoney" (1989), "Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge" (1991), "Piece Of Cake" (1992), "Five Dollar Bob’s Mock Cooter Stew" (1993) and especially "My Brother The Cow" (1995) are classic in their genre. Mudhoney's newest studio album is ”The Lucky Ones” released by Sub Pop in 2008.
Mudhoney's show in Turku will be warmed up by Disgrace and Molly Grows Up.
