One of the biggest names in alternative metal Deftones finally arrive at Finland for their own show in August. Having released their newest album "Diamond Eyes" last year, the Californian band perform at The Circus, Helsinki on August 30. Tickets will be available on Tuesday May 10.
Founded in 1989 Deftones broke through with their platinum selling album "White Pony" in 2000 and was awarded with a Grammy for "Best Metal Performance". The band are known for their unique soundworld, combining massive guitar sounds to singer Chino Moreno's strong and sensitive vocals. In the other hand the band's music has always been hard to categorise and they have toured with representives of different genres such as Morrissey and Metallica.
Deftones released their sixth album "Diamond Eyes" last year and it has been a huge success worldwide. The album presents their new bassist Sergio Vega who joined the band after Chi Cheng's car accident in 2008. Last year Deftones toured around the United States and Canada together with Mastodon and Alice In Chains. In April the band celebrated Record Store Day by releasing their album "Covers".
