The global touring machine composed of metal’s most highly respected contributors, Hail!, is coming to Finland next month. The line-up performs in Helsinki at Virgin Oil on Friday, March 23rd and in Vaasa at Club Garage Royal on Saturday, March 24th. Tickets available at Tiketti now.
The current Scandinavian tour of Hail! features the drummer Paul Bostaph (known from Slayer, Testament, Exodus and Forbidden), vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens (from Yngiwie Malmsteen, Judas Priest, Iced Earth and Beyond Fear), bassist James Lomenzo (from Megadeth, Black Label Society and White Lion) and the newest member, guitarist Dave Linsk (fom Overkill).
Ripper tells about Hail! with his own words: “So much of my love for music comes from the excitement of those early years, it was something special and it will never happen again. I want to create that excitement in somebody and HAIL! has provided a unique opportunity to do that. In addition to playing songs from our own bands, we’re paying props to those bands that paved the way for all of us. These are the songs of our life and don’t forget, we’re fans too.” Ripper continues “HAIL! is the best of everything because we don’t have any pressure – we can go wherever we want, whenever we want and play whatever songs we want. We are free to do whatever we want and that relief is very liberating. Freedom is fun!”
