It will probably come as no surprise that the last ever HIM show on New Year’s Eve has sold out in a few minutes. Now it has been confirmed that the band has decided to play an additional four unique farewell shows in Finland as a countdown to their last hurrah at Tavastia Club. The venues are Ice Hall Black Box in Helsinki on Dec 27, Rytmikorjaamo in Seinäjoki on Dec 29 and Pakkahuone & Klubi in Tampere on Dec 30.
The Ice Hall show on Dec 27 is open to all ages, the rest have an age limit of 18 and over.
Tickets for all these shows will be available on Mon 14 Aug at 12:00 CET (13:00 local time).
The band’s Farewell Tour kicks off on Oct 23 with shows in North America and it will find its way to 14 countries. Many of the shows are already sold out.
The 26 year career of the band led by Ville Valo is full of impressive achievements. The band has released eight studio albums and four compilations, with total worldwide sales of well over eight million. HIM was the first (and still is the only) Finnish band to reach gold record sales in North America, with their 2005 album Dark Light. The band’s best known songs are the domestic and international chart toppers and radio hits Join Me In Death, Wicked Game, Right Here In My Arms, Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly and The Funeral Of Hearts.
