Rock Tour Helsinki starts every
Saturday at 1 pm from
Hämäläisten talo (Urho Kekkosen katu 4-6, in front of Tavastia). Helsinki is the center of Finnish rock and pop-music. And the heavy metal capital of the world. Every corner of our
city we have Finnish rock and roll history, stories to tell about the
local rockers and major attractions to admire from the rock point of
view. Now you
have a chance to get straight inside it and explore the most important
venues of popular music while listening to inspiring tales. You can now also get your tickets in advance from Tiketti.
This 2 hour guided walk will take you to hear about Apocalyptica,
Amorphis, Children of Bodom, HIM, Lordi, The Rasmus and other heroes of
Finnish rock. You will learn why we earn a Hard Rock Cafe in this town!
You will not only hear about funny happenings and early career incidents
what our major stars have faced but get a good overlook of Helsinki and
also have an opportunity to do some shopping on the way!
On the Rock Tour you will hear where it all started, what's on now and what has happened on the way. Where is Nightwish's office, Ville Valo's, The Rasmus' and other famous
bands' footprints? Where do they buy their instruments, what is the
story of the most popular record store in Finland? What are the hottest
rock-clubs in the city? Where run the most important music organizations
and medias?
