A young, experimental string trio enjoying great international interest is starting its European tour from Finland, invited by the Tila.nne organization founded by two respected musicians, Jonna Tervomaa and Darin Gray. Here is a string trio that is rarely heard in Finland.
Their solo work covers a wide musical field from alternative rock and Americana to jazz, avant-garde and classical music.
The trio's common sound is based on improvised performance - automatic and intuitive composition through their three voices and three string instruments in the space they are in at the moment: viola, cello and violin. Sometimes vocals and electronics merge with the playing.
The influences are wide-ranging, they are conveyed with a more playful ease than is typical for a string trio.
The group released their latest album Body Sound on the respected International Anthem label.
