Moroccan artist Asmaa Hamzaoui, one of the leders of the current wave of gnawa music, returns to Helsinki with her band Bnat Timboktou. Expect nothing short of a bull-blown musical explosion.

Superposition

Supeposition, the quartet of Olavi Louhivuori, Linda Fredriksson, Adele Sauros and Mikael Saastamoinen, is a new generation staple in Finnish jazz. Their celebrated and awarded previous two albums are soon joined by their third one, taking things further and deepening the quartet’s sound. Rooted in the lineage of acoustic free jazz, Superpostition keeps things fresh and flowing, with each of the four members composing new material for the band.

Circus/Citadel III

Circus/Citadel is an all night improvised jam session curated by bassist-composer Antti Lötjönen. Taking its name from Lötjönen’s 2023 album on We Jazz Records, Circus/Citadel is a celebration of the unexpected, bringing together the music community for a flowing all-nighter at Väreet Festival.
