Valmistaudu rauhaan - Liisa Tavin muistoa kunnioittava ilta

In August 2025, Monna Kamu, Minja Koski, Kielo Kärkkäinen, Eero Ojanen, Arto Piispanen and Ville Rauhala released the album Valmistaudu rauhaan (Prepare for Peace, Texicalli Records), honouring the memory of Liisa Tavi.

In addition to songs from Liisa Tavi’s repertoire, the album features new compositions by Eero Ojanen, including settings of poems by Liisa Tavi, Kielo Kärkkäinen and Sirkka Turkka. The album’s title track was composed by Kielo Kärkkäinen to a poem by Minja Koski. The music moves between jazz, chanson, theatre music and folk. The concert will feature such timeless classics as Jäähyväiset aseille (Farewell to Arms), Raja (The Border) and Elämälle kiitos (Thanks to Life).

Valmistaudu rauhaan ensemble brings together artists from different generations and continues the tradition of Finnish-language songs for peace.
