Oulu-based Radiopuhelimet released their latest album in 2023, the aptly named 11-song compilation “Radiopuhelimet”. The band, founded in 1986, has now made sixteen albums and quite a few gigs – and is still ready to do all of this.
Radiopuhelimet is simply a great band, which is still incredibly good after decades.
And most importantly: Radiopuhelimet loves you. This band will not leave anyone alone who wants to believe in the uncompromising nature of music and art and the ability to express something deeper than the surface in simple rock songs – something that will last for years to come.
The evening will be opened by Janne Westerlund.
Janne Westerlund (b.1973) is a Finnish musician, songwriter and artist, known for, among others, Circle (in the band since 2001), Pharaoh Overlord, and Plain Ride.
Westerlund's career began in the early 1990s in Hamina, when he and his friends formed the experimental noise rock band Sweetheart.
Including all studio and live albums by current and former bands, Westerlund has played on an estimated fifty albums.
His latest album "Sisar" was released in 2025.
