Finland’s only R.E.M. tribute band, R.E.M. For The People, is coming to G Livelab in Tampere and Helsinki to celebrate *Automatic for the People*—a timeless alternative rock cornerstone that is turning 35!
R.E.M.’s eighth studio album, *Automatic for the People*, was released in October 1992 and debuted at number two on the Billboard charts. With its dark undertones and powerful atmosphere, the album established itself as one of the band’s most acclaimed releases and has since ranked highly on music magazines' lists of the greatest albums of all time.
The classic album’s 12 tracks include "Drive," "Man on the Moon," "Everybody Hurts," "Nightswimming," "The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite," and "Find the River." Above all, *Automatic for the People* is a cohesive, powerful album where melancholy, beauty, warmth, and sorrow coexist.
At their shows, R.E.M. For The People performs the album from start to finish in its original track order. Following the album set, the evening continues with a selection of R.E.M. hits and classics spanning the band’s long career.
