Poèm Franzén is a rising Finnish-American singer-songwriter, folk-pop artist, author, and performer, drawing inspiration from his contemporaries and the icons of generations past.
This spring, Franzén takes the stage at Helsinki’s G Livelab for his Premiere concert, celebrating the release of his debut album. Nearly two years in the making, the record is produced by independent label Brooklyn Pearl Records and recorded between New York and Finland. Blending the mythical world of his Nordic ancestry with the nostalgia of his Hollywood upbringing, the album explores ideals of peace, love, hope, and the fight for a brighter tomorrow.
Backed by his band, Franzén presents a collection of original songs, shrouded in an atmosphere of dramatic storytelling.
Though still at the beginning of his recording career, Franzén has spent years honing his craft on stage. He first toured as a trumpetist at age eight, setting in motion a musical journey that has since grown into a multifaceted creative career. Unwilling to confine his work to a single genre or discipline, he describes himself as a “polyartist” — a term that reflects his freedom to move between creative worlds.

Franzén stepped into the spotlight in spring 2026 with the release of his first single, “Freedom’s Sorry Song”, and his participation in Irina Björklund and Peter Fox’s Oh L’Amour 20 tour and -album. He also performed at The Freyas – Nordic Film & TV Awards at Finlandia Hall last September. Around the same time, his single titled “USA” won Yle’s Levylautakunta.
Complementing his music, Franzén has directed and released a series of cinematic music videos which bring a visual medium to his songwriting, adding fresh layers to the ambience of his compositions.
