Finland’s most Christmasy indie band, Pilven Piirtäjät, will once again perform their most beloved Christmas songs at Temppeliaukio Church on December 2, 2026.
Since 2018, the band has been releasing their distinctive original Christmas songs. Last Christmas saw the release of their holiday album The Most Beautiful Christmas Carols. The hugely popular Christmas concert, which filled Temppeliaukio Church to capacity, now returns by popular demand. The audience will also hear brand new Christmas material.
Pilven Piirtäjät is the band of award-winning songwriters Kaisa Korhonen and Axel Ehnström, whose new-generation Christmas songs move, amuse, and bring tears to the eyes. “We love Christmas, and that’s why we wanted to write Christmas songs that bring something new while still holding on to the timeless atmosphere of Christmas,” say Pilven Piirtäjät in their Christmas sweaters.
At the concert, the band will perform together with their full ensemble. Joining Kaisa and Axel on stage are musicians Vilma Lähteenmäki, VP Vaaralahti and Petri Söderlund, as well as surprise guests.
