Ever since Marjo Leinonen began singing as the frontwoman of The Balls in the late 1980s, one thing has been crystal clear: she sounds like herself and no one else. Marjo’s voice is entirely her own, unmistakable and unique. This defining thread has run uninterrupted through the decades and across every lineup fronted by Leinonen’s rough-edged, soulful voice. Founded in 2018, the BubliCans orchestra continues this uncompromisingly individualistic rhythm music saga with a mischievous twist, free from any kind of imitation or outside influence.
